Founder
Hey, I’m Jasmin — the face behind Hair Gal Jaz, based at Mark David in Stockbridge. I specialise in bespoke, lived-in colour with a focus on grey blending, and I believe that great hair comes from time, care, and a truly tailored approach.
I started hairdressing in 2015, completing my training in London before moving to Edinburgh for my first stylist position. In 2018, I was part of the TIGI Inspirational Youth programme, refining my skills and deepening my love for creative colour work. Then the pandemic hit, and I left the industry to become a nurse—but I hated it. I missed the creativity, the connection - so, I came back to hairdressing, this time on my own.
Truthfully? I’m particular about how I work, I don’t believe in rushing through appointments or squeezing in as many clients as possible - and that makes me pretty much unemployable in a standard salon setting. Instead, I take the time to understand your hair, your routine, and your preferences, so you walk away with a colour that’s perfectly suited to you.
